Still Nothing

As many of you know, I’ve sent my most recent story, “Finding Jenna” out to the traditional publishing world. I heard back from an agent that thought there were things to like about the story, but wasn’t passionate enough about it to take it on.

Now, I’m waiting to hear back from a large LGBT publisher to see what they think. I’m a little bummed because it’s been more than a month send I sent it too them, and I’ve not heard a peep.

My writing has been sporadic and divided. I have four stories going on and I just can’t seem to get excited about any of them right now. Hopefully, I’ll get inspired soon and take off with at least one of them.

I’m planning on changing this website, again. I’m just not happy with how it looks so I’m going to play around with some ideas until I finally get something I really like going on. Hope life it treating all of you well. Peace. M. E.

How Time Flies

I have to apologize for not posting sooner. This year has just truly been insane. I’m writing like a mad woman, but I’ve also had all of my grandchildren most weekends this summer, so I’m doing good to have gotten as far as I have with anything.

I was going through some old files and came across the very first version of Suddenly, which had been titled, “Forbidden” at that time. I had written 83 pages by October 20, 2010, almost seven years ago. Suddenly was originally published in August 2012.

I also found the beginning ideas for The Evangelist’s Wife, which is the story I’m currently working on, back in September 2010. It’s funny that I’ve been working on that story for seven years and it’s still not complete.

I have had many story ideas over the years, and I have many more ideas, and just not enough hours in the day to get them all written down. I just can’t believe how long I’ve been blessed to get to write for all of you.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure when I’ll have the next story ready for publication. Hopefully, I’ll have something ready soon. I’m still waiting on agents to respond to Finding Jenna, my female-to-male transgender story. That will take a little longer to get out there, but anyone interested in beta reading it can email me at metudor.com@gmail.com.

Also, for those of you who are waiting patiently for something new by me, here’s like to a website where some stories I wrote a long time ago are posted. https://www.academyofbards.org/

I will eventually publish the stories on the Royal Academy of Bards’ website to Amazon. But until then, they are available for free on the Bards site.

Thank you all for being so patient with me. I promise to get busy and get you something new to read soon.

Too Many Irons In The Fire

Irons in the fireI have entirely too many projects going on at one time. I’ve been working on a story tentatively titled, The Preacher’s Wife about Catherine Haverty, Kaitlyn Haverty’s mom from my book, Standing Her Ground. The Preacher’s Wife was the story that I actually started but ended up writing Standing Her Ground instead. But the story kept nagging at me to be written so I’ve poked at it until it finally started flowing.

On top of that, I’ve been working on putting together a full length book about Jamie Edwards and P. J. Thomas from Suddenly that  cover their first year in college. And I’ve been working on a new young adult romance and a new adult drama. I keep getting all these story ideas and there are just not enough hours in the day to get them done.

The plan is to finish writing The Preacher’s Wife by no later than the end of May. Finish the Jamie and P. J. story by the end of July, the new adult drama by the end of September and the young adult romance by the end of October. Whether or not that actually happens remains to be seen. Please continue to follow my progress so you’ll know when each new story will be coming out!

Upcoming Series : The Circle of Confusion

I did a survey with the first installment of my planned series, The Circle of Confusion, which is about the continuing story of Jamie Edwards and P. J. Thomas from my young adult lesbian romance, Suddenly. The poll taken on the survey has been tallied and the overwhelming response was that everyone would rather read a new full length story about Jamie and P. J.’s continuing story versus reading it in a series of short stories. So, I’m working on putting together a full length story about their first year of college. This will introduce two new characters. For those of you who’ve read It’s All New, you have met Kayla Martin and Lori Weaver.

If you haven’t read Suddenly yet, take a peek at the story here:
